Few things produce more happiness than a well-deserved vacation. Whether it’s a two-week cruise or a humble weekend staycation, the occasional break from the day-to-day stresses in our lives is one of the most reliable sources of smiles. But how well are we taking care of our smiles when we’re away from home? So many resort to travel-sized oral care kits hastily bought in an airport terminal, or pack a cheap manual toothbrush in their carry-on. Convenience is key, and while these options may be handy in a pinch, why should we sacrifice a proper clean during a time we’ll be smiling the most?

I’ve been a huge fan of a “rotary” style toothbrush for many years. Why? Because it works very similarly to the polishing tool that we as hygienists use to polish teeth, but it has a distinct difference. Instead of a rubber cup, the head has thousands of micro-filaments that come to a point and allow a person at home to get to the nooks and crannies that most “tooth” brushes miss.

Dr. Roberts said power toothbrushes like InteliSonic™ and Revolation™ are gaining popularity for several reasons.
