Few things produce more happiness than a well-deserved vacation. Whether it’s a two-week cruise or a humble weekend staycation, the occasional break from the day-to-day stresses in our lives is one of the most reliable sources of smiles. But how well are we taking care of our smiles when we’re away from home? So many resort to travel-sized oral care kits hastily bought in an airport terminal, or pack a cheap manual toothbrush in their carry-on. Convenience is key, and while these options may be handy in a pinch, why should we sacrifice a proper clean during a time we’ll be smiling the most?

I’ve been a huge fan of a “rotary” style toothbrush for many years. Why? Because it works very similarly to the polishing tool that we as hygienists use to polish teeth, but it has a distinct difference.
